Every CD on our shelves has a story, and Wintersong by Sarah McLachlan has more than most. As Wikipedia puts it, “Wintersong is the sixth album and first Christmas album by Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan, released in October 2006. It was produced by longtime collaborator Pierre Marchand and includes contributions from Jim Creeggan of Barenaked Ladies.”

Wikipedia’s article on it talks about “River”, “Wintersong” and “Silent Night”, and all of them are right here on this CD. “River” is a Joni Mitchell song from her 1971 album Blue, and McLachlan’s version was released as a single from this album in September 2006. Press play and “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” starts things off; by the time “Christmas Time Is Here” closes the set you have heard 12 tracks.

Put it on, turn it up and let “River” set the mood. Our copy is in Near Mint (NM or M-) condition and is priced at $9.39. Tap the button below to see the photos and order it.
