Rex Allen was an American actor, singer, and songwriter born on December 31, 1920, in Willcox, Arizona. Known as "The Arizona Cowboy," Allen was a popular country music artist in the 1940s and 1950s. He gained fame for his smooth baritone voice and recorded numerous hit songs, including "Crying in the Chapel" and "Don't Go Near the Indians." In addition to his music career, Allen also appeared in over 20 Western films and starred in the television series "Frontier Doctor." He was inducted into the Western Performers Hall of Fame in 1983 and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1984. Rex Allen passed away on December 17, 1999, leaving behind a lasting legacy in both the music and film industries. Don Edwards is an American cowboy singer and guitarist born on March 20, 1939, in Boonton, New Jersey.
