Artist Biography
The Lashes were a rock band hailing from Seattle, Washington, that formed in 2000. The band consisted of lead vocalist Ben Lashes, guitarists Eric Howk and Scotty Rickard, bassist Nate Harold, and drummer Mike Loggins. Known for their energetic live performances and catchy melodies, The Lashes quickly gained a following in the local music scene. In 2004, The Lashes released their debut album, "Get It," which received critical acclaim for its blend of power-pop hooks and indie rock sensibilities. The album spawned the hit single "Sometimes the Sun," which garnered radio play and helped the band gain national attention. Despite their growing success, The Lashes disbanded in 2008 after releasing their second album, "Heaven," due to creative differences among the band members. Following the breakup, some of the members went on to pursue other musical projects, while others shifted their focus to different career paths. Though short-lived, The Lashes left a lasting impact on the Seattle music scene and are remembered for their infectious sound and dynamic performances.
