Artist Biography
Goodness was an alternative rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in the mid-1990s. The band's lineup consisted of Carrie Akre on vocals, Garth Reeves and Danny Newcomb on guitars, Fiia McGann on bass, and Chris Friel on drums. Known for their emotionally charged lyrics and powerful sound, Goodness quickly gained a following in the Seattle music scene. In 1995, Goodness released their self-titled debut album, which featured the hit single "Superwise" and received critical acclaim for its raw energy and Akre's soulful vocals. The band's sound was often compared to other Seattle bands like Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, but with a more melodic and introspective approach. Goodness went on to release two more albums, "Anthem" in 1998 and "These Days" in 2001, before disbanding in the early 2000s. Despite their relatively short career, Goodness left a lasting impact on the alternative rock scene and is remembered for their intense live performances and heartfelt songwriting.
