Jacksoul was a Canadian R&B and soul band formed in Toronto in 1996. The band was fronted by lead vocalist Haydain Neale, whose smooth and soulful voice became a defining characteristic of their sound. Jacksoul quickly gained popularity in the Canadian music scene with their fusion of R&B, soul, and pop influences. Their debut album, "Absolute," was released in 1996 and received critical acclaim, earning them a Juno Award for Best R&B/Soul Recording. Jacksoul went on to release several more successful albums, including "Sleepless" and "Resurrected," which further solidified their reputation as one of Canada's premier R&B acts. Tragically, in 2008, lead singer Haydain Neale was involved in a car accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down. Despite this devastating setback, Jacksoul continued to perform and release music, with Neale contributing vocals from his wheelchair. Neale passed away in 2009, but his legacy lives on through Jacksoul's timeless music and impact on the Canadian R&B scene.
