Artist Biography
Remy Zero was an alternative rock band formed in Birmingham, Alabama in the early 1990s. The band consisted of Cinjun Tate (vocals, guitar), Shelby Tate (vocals, guitar), Cedric LeMoyne (bass), Jeffrey Cain (guitar), and Gregory Slay (drums). Known for their ethereal sound and introspective lyrics, Remy Zero gained popularity in the mid-1990s with the release of their self-titled debut album in 1996. One of the band's most notable achievements was their song "Save Me," which was chosen as the theme song for the popular television series "Smallville." The success of "Save Me" helped to bring Remy Zero to a wider audience and solidify their place in the alternative rock scene. Throughout their career, Remy Zero released a total of four studio albums and toured extensively, building a dedicated fan base along the way. Despite facing challenges and lineup changes over the years, the band continued to create music that resonated with listeners until their disbandment in the mid-2000s. Remy Zero left a lasting impact on the alternative rock genre and is remembered for their unique sound and emotional songwriting.
