Artist Biography

2 Chainz, born Tauheed Epps on September 12, 1977, in College Park, Georgia, is an American rapper, songwriter, and media personality. He first gained recognition as one half of the Southern hip-hop duo Playaz Circle, along with his friend Dolla Boy. The duo achieved commercial success with their debut album "Supply & Demand" in 2007, which featured the hit single "Duffle Bag Boy" featuring Lil Wayne. In 2011, 2 Chainz embarked on a successful solo career and quickly rose to prominence in the hip-hop scene. He released his debut studio album, "Based on a T.R.U. Story," in 2012, which included the popular singles "No Lie" featuring Drake and "Birthday Song" featuring Kanye West. Since then, 2 Chainz has released several more albums and mixtapes, showcasing his unique flow, witty wordplay, and charismatic personality. Known for his distinctive style, catchy hooks, and energetic stage presence, 2 Chainz has become a respected figure in the rap world.
