Dave Matthews Band is an American rock band formed in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1991. The band's founding members are singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Matthews, bassist Stefan Lessard, drummer Carter Beauford, saxophonist LeRoi Moore, and violinist Boyd Tinsley. Known for their unique sound that blends elements of rock, jazz, and pop, Dave Matthews Band rose to fame in the 1990s with hits like "Crash Into Me," "Ants Marching," and "What Would You Say." Over the years, the band has released numerous successful albums and won several Grammy Awards for their music. They are also known for their energetic live performances and extensive touring. Tragically, founding member LeRoi Moore passed away in 2008, but the band has continued to make music and tour with new members.
