Artist Biography

The Juliana Theory is an American rock band formed in 1997 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The band's sound is characterized by a unique blend of emo, alternative rock, and pop punk influences. Comprised of lead vocalist Brett Detar, guitarists Joshua Fiedler and Chad Alan, bassist Joshua Kosker, and drummer Josh Walters, The Juliana Theory gained popularity in the early 2000s with their emotionally charged lyrics and catchy melodies. Their debut album, "Understand This Is a Dream," was released in 1999 and received critical acclaim for its introspective themes and energetic sound. The band continued to release several albums throughout the 2000s, including "Emotion is Dead" and "Love," solidifying their place in the emo and alternative rock scene. Despite going on hiatus in 2006, The Juliana Theory reunited in 2010 for a series of shows and eventually released new music in 2020 with the EP "Emotion is Dead, Part 1."
