Mantic Ritual, formerly known as Meltdown, was an American thrash metal band formed in 2001 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The band consisted of Dan Wetmore on vocals and guitar, Jeff Potts on guitar, Ben Mottsman on bass, and Adam Haritan on drums. Known for their high-energy performances and aggressive sound, Mantic Ritual quickly gained recognition in the thrash metal scene. In 2008, the band released their debut album "Executioner" under the name Meltdown, showcasing their raw talent and intense musical style. The album received positive reviews from critics and fans alike, establishing Mantic Ritual as a rising force in the thrash metal genre. After changing their name to Mantic Ritual in 2009, the band continued to tour and build a dedicated fanbase.
