Artist Biography

Patsy Cline, born Virginia Patterson Hensley on September 8, 1932, in Winchester, Virginia, was an iconic American country music singer. Known for her rich, emotive voice and timeless hits, Cline rose to fame in the 1950s and 1960s with songs like "Crazy," "I Fall to Pieces," and "Walkin' After Midnight." Despite facing personal struggles and setbacks, including a near-fatal car accident in 1961, Cline's career continued to soar. She became one of the first female country music artists to achieve mainstream success, breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations of women in the industry. Tragically, Cline's life was cut short when she died in a plane crash at the age of 30 on March 5, 1963. Despite her untimely death, Patsy Cline's influence on country music remains profound, and her music continues to resonate with audiences around the world.
