Jan Garbarek is a Norwegian saxophonist known for his unique style that blends jazz with elements of traditional music from around the world. Born on March 4, 1947, in Mysen, Norway, Garbarek has had a prolific career spanning several decades. He first gained recognition in the 1970s as a member of the influential jazz group Keith Jarrett's European Quartet. Garbarek's solo work has explored a wide range of musical influences, including Scandinavian folk music, Indian classical music, and Gregorian chant. Ustad Fateh Ali Khan was a renowned Pakistani classical musician who belonged to the Patiala Gharana, a prestigious lineage of musicians.
