Artist Biography
American Music Club was an alternative rock band formed in San Francisco in 1983. The band's core members included singer-songwriter Mark Eitzel, along with Vudi (guitar), Danny Pearson (bass), and Tim Mooney (drums). Known for their introspective lyrics and Eitzel's emotive vocals, American Music Club gained a cult following for their unique blend of indie rock, folk, and post-punk influences. Throughout their career, American Music Club released critically acclaimed albums such as "California" (1988), "United Kingdom" (1989), and "Mercury" (1993). Despite receiving praise from music critics, the band struggled to achieve mainstream success but maintained a dedicated fan base. They disbanded in 1995 but reunited in 2004 for a series of live shows and eventually released their final album, "The Golden Age," in 2008.
