Chet Atkins, born in 1924 in Tennessee, was an influential American guitarist and record producer known for his innovative fingerpicking style. He was a key figure in the development of the Nashville sound, a fusion of country music and pop that became popular in the 1960s. Atkins released numerous solo albums and collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Elvis Presley, the Everly Brothers, and Dolly Parton. Atkins' virtuosic guitar playing earned him multiple Grammy Awards and a place in the Country Music Hall of Fame. Jerry Reed, born in 1937 in Georgia, was a multi-talented American musician known for his skills as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Reed began his career as a session musician in Nashville before launching a successful solo career in the 1960s. He scored numerous hits on the country and pop charts, including the crossover hit "When You're Hot, You're Hot."
