Carter Burwell is an acclaimed American composer best known for his work in film and television. Born on November 18, 1955, in New York City, Burwell developed a passion for music at a young age. He studied at King's College in Cambridge and later at Harvard University, where he focused on music composition. Burwell's career took off when he collaborated with the Coen Brothers on their film "Blood Simple" in 1984. This marked the beginning of a long and successful partnership, with Burwell composing the scores for many of the Coen Brothers' iconic films, including "Fargo," "No Country for Old Men," and "True Grit." In addition to his work with the Coen Brothers, Burwell has also composed music for a wide range of films across various genres, earning critical acclaim and multiple award nominations.
