Sawyer Brown is an American country music band that was formed in 1981 in Apopka, Florida. The band's original members included lead vocalist Mark Miller, guitarist Bobby Randall, keyboardist Gregg "Hobie" Hubbard, bassist Jim Scholten, and drummer Joe "Curly" Smyth. They gained popularity in the 1980s with their energetic live performances and catchy songs. Sawyer Brown released their self-titled debut album in 1984, which spawned their first hit single, "Leona." Throughout their career, the band has released over 20 studio albums and charted more than 50 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
