Artist Biography
INXS was an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1977. The band's original lineup consisted of Garry Gary Beers on bass guitar, brothers Andrew Farriss on guitar and keyboards, Jon Farriss on drums, Tim Farriss on lead guitar, Kirk Pengilly on guitar and saxophone, and Michael Hutchence as the lead vocalist. INXS achieved worldwide fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s with a series of hit albums and singles, including "Need You Tonight," "New Sensation," and "Devil Inside." Their music was a fusion of rock, new wave, and funk, characterized by Hutchence's charismatic stage presence and soulful vocals. Tragically, Michael Hutchence passed away in 1997, leading to the eventual disbandment of INXS. Despite this loss, the band's legacy lives on through their timeless music and memorable performances.
