Deee-Lite was an American house and dance music group formed in 1986 in New York City. The trio consisted of lead vocalist Lady Miss Kier (Kierin Magenta Kirby), DJ Dmitry (Dmitry Brill), and Towa Tei. Known for their eclectic and colorful style, Deee-Lite gained international fame with their debut album "World Clique" in 1990, which featured their hit single "Groove Is in the Heart." The group's music was characterized by a blend of house, funk, and dance-pop, along with elements of hip-hop and psychedelia.
