In 2005, Common released Be, an album that marked a significant moment in his career and the hip hop landscape. This project was not just another record; it was a heartfelt response to the world around him, a reflection of his experiences and thoughts shaped by the vibrant energy of Chicago. With Kanye West as the executive producer, the album blends soulful beats with introspective lyrics, creating a unique listening experience that resonates deeply with fans.

Standout tracks like "The Corner" and "Go!" showcase Common's lyrical prowess and ability to weave narratives that speak to both personal and collective struggles. "The Corner," in particular, paints a vivid picture of life in the city, capturing the essence of community while addressing the challenges faced by its inhabitants. Meanwhile, "Go!" serves as a motivational anthem, urging listeners to pursue their dreams with relentless determination and passion.

The track "Faithful" introduces a collaborative element that further enriches the album, featuring guest appearances that add depth to Common's vision. This blend of voices and styles highlights the interconnectedness of the hip hop community and the power of unity in addressing social issues. Ultimately, Be stands as a testament to Common's growth as an artist and his commitment to using music as a platform for change.
