Lari White was an American country music artist, actress, and songwriter. She was born on May 13, 1965, in Dunedin, Florida. White first gained attention as a background singer for Rodney Crowell before launching her solo music career. She released her debut album, "Lead Me Not," in 1993, which produced three Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. Throughout her career, White released several albums and singles that showcased her powerful vocals and songwriting skills. She won the Grammy Award for Best Southern, Country, or Bluegrass Gospel Album for her work on "Amazing Grace: A Country Salute to Gospel Vol. 1" in 1996. In addition to her music career, White also pursued acting and appeared in films such as "Cast Away" and "Country Strong." She was known for her versatile talents and contributions to both the music and film industries. Lari White passed away on January 23, 2018, leaving behind a lasting legacy in country music.
